A fine old yak bell.  The Yak is such an important animal in the Himalaya that it comes as no great surprise that they are often decorated and embellished in interesting ways - like the handsome fellow in the picture below.  Most yaks will wear a bell while working and they have a lovely tone that really evokes the sights and sounds of the high Himalayan landscape.
