A classic primitive mask from Nepal's far Western middle hills.  It exhibits a fine oval shape contrasted by the angular carving of the eyes and mouth.  The mask has attained a wonderful patina with reddish undertones, and the terse angular features have been softened with age and use.  All in all an exemplary minimalist  middle hills folk mask.
