Well folks to be quite honest, it had been a while since I had gotten excited about a southern Nepal mask.  But then this piece came along. This is something special indeed and to call it unique would be an understatement.  This is an incredible helmet mask from a tribal group in the southern jungles of the Indo-Nepal border. This is tribal man at his creative best in my opinion... taking advantage of a naturally occurring burl wood formation on a tree and releasing the beast within, with only relatively light manipulation on the artisan's part.
