Here we have a pair
of fine antique Naga head hunter bracelets. They are bronze with
rows of spikes along the outer surface. These are clearly in
accord with the "Naga aesthetic", which is characterized by a
pronounced martial orientation, these served a defensive purpose
in protecting the wrist in close quarter combat during head
taking raids, as well as offensive purpose, as a blow to any
place on an opponent's body could inflict injury given the
spiked surface. |
