Detail Photos
An antique shawl
from the Chang Naga tribe. It has rings of cowries
surrounding anthropomorphic figures as well as the
characteristic weft squares of red dyed hair that is typically
described as dog combings. The shawl itself is cotton
prepared on a back strap loom.
Has a few native
repairs that are hardly noticeable. See detail photos.
