This is piece is a fantastic ancestor/guardian figure from far west Nepal.  This piece is unique in that most of the edges are rounded relative to the more angular carving more typical of such West Nepal figures.  I personally find this piece to be very similar in appearance to the Hampatong figures of Indonesia. I dare say the purpose is very similar as well.  A remarkable example for those who are connoisseurs of Western  Nepalese wood figures.  This figure comes with an iron stand.
