Detail Views
Fantastic and
difficult to find shamanic ancestor/ kul devata (lineage
tutelary deity) for the Dhami or trance mediums of West Nepal.
The figure has particularly attractive aesthetics and exhibits
excellent proportion and symmetry. He has the long shamanic and
divine "tupi" or top knot hanging down the back and is depicted
holding spirit bells... a common accoutrement of Western Nepal's
ancient folk religious traditions.
