While occasionally we do find paired figures from Nepal's far west, it is unusual to find them in this particular style.  Usually paired statues have fertility symbolism associated with their form, but in this case the figures appear pretty much gender free, save the sexual dimorphism indicated by their respective sizes.  These are some folk deities associated with the celestial moon and sun.
