very nice example of the old shamanic phurbas from Nepal that
incorporate anthropomorphic carving. The grip of this
phurba is rendered in the classic hands together posture that we
so often see in the iconography of Western Nepal's wooden
"guardian" figure cult. This phurba has a wonderful patina
and the overall form is spectacular.
